Valentyna Uvarova

Founder and head of the Non-governmental organization "Litay"

An internally displaced person from Luhansk, she has a disabled child and a one-year-old child. In 2017, she started an initiative group, and in 2022 she registered a public organization that helps internally displaced mothers and mothers of children with disabilities.
"I know the problems and needs of our women; I went through a similar path. And now I can help them."

Monitoring and evaluation manager

She has been with the "Litay" team since its inception. In 2014, she left occupied Donetsk with her family. She lived in Kyiv for eight years, and since 2018 she has participated in the initiative group "Club of Special Women". Currently, Olga temporarily lives in Germany, studies at the Ukrainian Institute of Creative Psychology, and conducts master classes for Ukrainian women who find themselves in difficult life conditions.
"I try to live by the principle: everything is easy when you know how!"

Julia Pozniak

SMM Manager

Julia joined the Litay team recently. Initially, she volunteered as a makeup artist for the winter dragon festival. Later, she took on SMM responsibilities after completing SMM specialist courses. Julia is a mom of three sons, has overcome cancer, and changed her profession after 40 years. Her life motto:

"From dream to action."

Support for IDP women with children and women raising children with disabilities

Women and own business

Long-term project "Women and own business" (launched in 2023). This project is aimed at women who want to run their own businesses. It provides educational and psychological support, individual work with a coach, Telegram chat support, and assistance in obtaining mini-grants from partner organizations. As a result of the project, seven women have received grants and started their own businesses.

Inclusive family meetings

The project supports women and their children, helps overcome discrimination, promotes tolerance in society, and fosters the creation of an inclusive society. Each event brings together about 100 families.

Advocacy for the rights of IDP women with children and women raising children with disabilities

The shelter room "Safety island"

The project was created to provide safe and comfortable conditions in bomb shelters for women with children under three years old and pregnant women.
